Jim Perlman has been practicing law in Toledo for 29 years. After graduating from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1979, Jim went to work for a former Bankruptcy Trustee. As a result, a large part of his practice has always been involved in Bankruptcy law. In addition to Bankruptcy, Jim handles a general Civil Law practice including Probate, Foreclosure, Wills, Real Estate, Landlord-Tenant and general Civil Litigation. He is admitted to practice in Ohio, the United States District Court Northern District of Ohio and the United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit.
Jim was born in Toledo and has lived in the area his entire life. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1976. He is an active community volunteer including serving as the current President of the Sylvania Community Arts Commission. Since becoming an Attorney, Jim has always volunteered his services. He was one of the original mediators through the Citizen Dispute Settlement program at the Toledo Municipal Court. Today he continues his service through the Toledo Bar Association as a regular volunteer for Law Tuesday, Pro Bono and Call for Action programs.
