Hailing from the lakefront community of Marblehead, Ohio, Mr. Sczesny received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toledo, College of Law in 2003. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in 2000 from the University of Toledo, majoring in Political Science.
While attending law school, Mr. Sczesny was a member of such prestigious organizations as the Prosecutors Clinic, the Public Service Externship Clinic and the Legal Institute of the Great Lakes where he served as an editor of the Great Lakes' Law, Science and Policy Journal. As a law student, Mr. Sczesny focused on public service by defending the workers’ compensation fund while working for the Ohio State Attorney General’s Office and protecting the rights of crime victims as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Ottawa County Prosecutor’s Office. During his undergraduate years, Mr. Sczesny worked in Washington D.C. for United States Congressmen Paul E. Gillmor who represented the interests of Ohio’s fifth congressional district.
Mr. Sczesny was admitted to practice law in Ohio in 2003. He is currently a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Lucas County Bar Association, the Ottawa County Bar Association and the Toledo Bar Association where he also serves on the Domestic Relations Court Committee. Mr. Sczesny’s areas of practice include domestic relations, criminal law, real estate and juvenile law.
Mr. Sczesny resides in Toledo, Ohio with his wife, Sandra.
